Instructions for Authors

Language and Manuscript Length
Authors submitting manuscripts to IJIREST must ensure that their work is well-structured, clearly articulated, and grammatically sound. Non-native English speakers are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally proofread before submission to enhance readability and coherence.
Manuscripts should not exceed 8,000 words, excluding references, unless prior approval is granted by the Editor-in-Chief.

Editorial Process and Peer Review
IJIREST follows a double-anonymous peer review process to ensure objectivity and fairness. This means that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. To maintain anonymity, authors must adhere to the following guidelines:
• Remove all identifying information (names, affiliations, acknowledgments) from the manuscript and supplementary materials.
• Submit a separate title page that includes the manuscript title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author contact details, acknowledgments, and funding disclosures.
• Avoid self-citations that reveal the author’s identity.

Manuscript Submission
By submitting a manuscript to IJIREST, authors affirm that:
• The work has not been previously published and is not under consideration elsewhere.
• All co-authors and relevant institutional authorities have approved the submission.
• The authors bear full responsibility for any claims related to the manuscript.

Permissions
Authors incorporating previously published figures, tables, or text must obtain formal permission from copyright holders and provide evidence of approval. Any materials submitted without such documentation will be assumed to be original works of the authors.

Online Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted through the official IJIREST submission platform. Authors must follow on-screen instructions to upload all necessary files.

Source Files
To facilitate a smooth editorial process, all submissions must include editable source files (.docx for Word manuscripts or LaTeX for mathematical content). Failure to provide source files may result in delays or rejection.

Manuscript Structure
Title Page
The title page should include:
• Manuscript title (concise and informative).
• Author details (names, affiliations, ORCID IDs if available).
• Corresponding author’s contact information (email and phone number).
• Acknowledgments (if applicable).
• Funding and disclosures.
If authors are unaffiliated with any institution, only their city and country of residence will be included in the published work.

Use of Artificial Intelligence
Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI tools do not meet authorship criteria for IJIREST. AI-generated content should be transparently acknowledged in the Methods section or another relevant part of the manuscript. AI-assisted copyediting for grammar and readability does not require disclosure. However, the final version of the text must be the responsibility of human authors.

Abstract and Keywords
• Abstract: A well-structured abstract (150-250 words) summarizing the research objectives, methodology, key findings, and conclusions. Undefined abbreviations and references should be avoided.
• Keywords: Authors must provide 4-7 keywords relevant to their study for indexing purposes.

Statements and Declarations
Authors must include a "Statements and Declarations" section addressing the following:
• Competing Interests: Full disclosure of financial or non-financial conflicts of interest related to the work.
• Funding Information: Sources of research funding must be clearly stated. Submissions missing relevant declarations will be returned as incomplete.

Manuscript Formatting

Text Formatting
• Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, and double-spacing for readability
. • Apply italics for emphasis and bold for section headings.
• Automatic page numbering is required.
• Tables should be created using the Word table function (not images or spreadsheets).
• Equations must be formatted using MathType or LaTeX.

Headings
Use no more than three levels of headings to ensure clarity and organization.

Abbreviations
Define abbreviations at first use and maintain consistency throughout the manuscript.

Acknowledgments
Acknowledge contributors, funding bodies, and institutions that supported the research. Funding organizations should be mentioned in full.

Scientific Style and Notation
Authors should adhere to internationally accepted standards:
• SI units must be used consistently.
• Generic names of drugs, chemicals, and biological materials are preferred over trade names.
• Mathematical expressions should follow conventional formatting:
o Italicize variables and unknowns.
o Use bold for vectors and matrices.
o Write commonly recognized functions (e.g., sin, log) in upright font.

Submission and Review Process
Manuscripts undergo rigorous evaluation, including:
• Editorial screening for scope, originality, and formatting.
• Double-anonymous peer review for academic rigor.
• Revisions and resubmission based on reviewer feedback.
Decisions are communicated to authors promptly.
